WEDDING PACKAGES

Melissa's basis wedding ceremony rates are not based on length of the service, but will include all pre-wedding, ceremony, and post-wedding music - on matter how short or long the ceremony is.   Most other harpists quote or charge on a per hour basis. 

1. STANDARD CEREMONY PACKAGE

A traditional wedding ceremony package will include: pre-ceremony music,  processional music, special mid-service music,  recessional music, and postlude music.

2. CEREMONY PACKAGE PLUS COCKTAIL HOUR

If you would like to continue the sound of the harp during your cocktail hour, the cocktail ceremony plus cocktail hour package includes the standard ceremony package plus the first hour of background harp music during the cocktail hour.

3. CEREMONY PACKAGE PLUS RECEPTION

If you would like harp music during the reception, the ceremony  plus reception package, will provide music on an hourly basis during the reception time.  A one hour minimum is required at the reception. 

If a live band or DJ will also be used during the reception, please ensure that there is adequate sound separation.  A great place for the harp is near the entrance as the guests arrive, or near the banquet area.  Melissa's harp is capable of being amplified or used with a public address system.

4. CONSULTATION

In addition, Melissa's standard wedding ceremony packages includes phone consultation for music selection and placement.   

PERFORMANCE AGREEMENT

A signed performance agreement is required to hold your event's specified date & time. Please read all information contain on the performance agreement when you receive it. Ensure that all information is correct and accurate before mailing it back to Melissa.

DEPOSIT

A $50.00 deposit is required to hold your wedding ceremony's date, time & location.

CHANGES

Any changes to the signed performance agreement must be in writing: for example, changes to the location, date or time. Melissa may have other event scheduled which conflicts with your new date and time. Please notify Melissa of any possible changes immediately.

ADDITIONAL FEES

Additional fees may apply for items such as travel outside the Austin area, difficult set-up locations, specific dates and etc. Any additional fees will be included listed on the performance agreement before signing. Please see the appropriate pages for further details.
 
PAYMENT OPTIONS

Melissa accepts checks, money orders and cash.

OUTDOORS WEDDING CEREMONIES

Melissa is available for outdoor weddings and receptions, however an additional charge may occur if increased time is required for set-up. Please check with Melissa concerning outdoor or large event space performances.

SOUND AMPLIFICATION

There's no point in having a harpist if the harp can't be heard.   Melissa can provide a portable powered amplifier by request. 

SPECIAL NOTE CONCERNING OUTDOOR PERFORMANCES

Poor weather conditions will severely damage the harp, therefore the harp cannot be played in the rain, mist, snow, sleet, or any other poor weather conditions. Also, the harp cannot be subjected to extreme cold. If you plan on having an outdoor event, please have a contingency plan to place the harp in a properly covered location.

There are no refunds or reschedules if the event is rained out, cancelled or postponed due to poor weather conditions. Melissa has the final judgment to determine if the weather conditions are appropriate for the harp to remain outdoors. The client assumes all responsibility for poor weather conditions precluding the harp performance.
 

TRAVEL

Travel throughout the Central Texas Area can be accommodated for an additional travel fee.  Melissa's general travel area covers approximately San Antonio to the south; Waco to the north; Frederickburg to the west and College Station on the east.

Further areas can be arranged by special request such as multi-day events requiring overnight stays.

Please contact Melissa directly for any possible additional travel fees that may apply. Any additional travel fees will be quoted/listed on the performance agreement.

Any additional travel fees cover expenses such as fuel, tolls, and extra travel time.
